Welcome! This is my first post to this blog. I represent a non-profit, public/private partnership dedicated to advancing the economic and community development of Hickman County, Tennessee.
The center of Hickman County, Centerville (appropriately named) is about 50 miles southwest of Nashville. It offers a quality workforce with a rural work ethic and has available industrial buildings and vacant building sites with quick, easy access to Interstate 40 and I-840. I work as an economic developer. At the moment, my day job is Executive Director of Hickman County Economic & Community Development Association, Inc. Working in a one person shop, I do community marketing, strategic planning, industrial recruitment, business retention & expansion, retail recruitment, tourism development and manage the non-profit corporation of the public/private partnership.
I am a member of International Economic Development Council, Southern Economic Development Council, Tennessee Economic Development Council and International Council of Shopping Centers.
I have held the designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) from International Economic Development Council (IEDC) since 2008 and I have earned a Master of Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University.
